Here is a look at another one week spread that I finished yesterday. I won't be able to do anymore for about 2 weeks as we are leaving on vacation in 3 days!!! I will still update the blog, but not the book...makes sense if you have been following...

Everyday that I spend in my creative space, I am reminded of mom:

Beryl and I didn't want to spend a bundle on flowers for her funeral, because she would have hated that so instead the casket spray was the only flowers from the immediate family. When we picked it out, they asked us what were mom's favorite flowers and we couldn't come up with a favorite, because she loved all flowers. So we did a mixed bouquet with 4 roses in the main arrangement representative of dad and the kids; two white roses and two pink roses. Then near each of those main roses were ribbons that hung down to represent the three families with roses pinned to them for the kids. It was very effective. After the committal service, we took our roses and wore them at the funeral dinner. I have kept mine. It is starting to shatter, so I thought I would get a pic of it before it is totally destroyed. It hangs right next to my scrap booking table on a beautiful bulletin board that reminds me of my friend Mindy.
