Sunday, March 15th, another day in Charleston

Today we checked out of the hotel early as Catie is on her church's worship team and we needed to be there by 10 am. I am so proud of her as she is getting involved in her church and so many people wanted to meet the parents of "the sweetest girl". We also looked around the church cemetary as this church was founded in 1747.
We changed clothes and headed back to Charleston for lunch and another walk. We ate lunch at a pasta place with horrible service, but the dessert totally made up for that. Across the street was a cupcake place and we enjoyed a small sweet treat before our excursion.
Mmmmm...red devil's food....
Today our goal was to go to Fort Sumter. The standing joke was that I couldn't pronounce it because I kept trying to add two more consonants. Well, we missed the last ferry out to the fort by 15 minutes. So instead we headed to St. Christopher Island and had a short tour by Catie and got settled in our room. She took us to the fish room and the herpetarium. It's very strange for me to see Catie handling these creatures as if they were household pets.

We then went to King Street Grill for dinner, just down the road from the camp.
Sounds like we didn't do much today, but still another fun filled day.
