A totally unposed picture...not. These ladies had the huge task of staffing the show.
Money takers at the front door.
Celia and I were "white glove ladies" this afternoon, which means that if someone wants to look at the back of a quilt we could lift it with our gloves so the quilts weren't touched. Deb caught a few people touching though. While I was white gloving, I also had the very difficult task of voting for my favorite quilts. There were 8 categories and I am proud to say that I picked 4 of the winners!
This was the Viewer's Choice and Best of Show. Deb Cimaglio
This was the best hand quilting, Lydia Scott.
I think this was best applique, Kathy Stuart.
Best professional quilting Dawn Larsen pieced by Andrea Krier.
Best small quilt, Kathy Stuart, this is made from Dupione Silk and was trapuntoed.
I can't remember the category, but it is a wool bed quilt, Lydia Scott.
Best domestic machine quilting, Robin Billiter.Take down was a breeze and took only about 1 1/2 hours with the army of people that were there.
What a great show, a little sad that it's over, but now I've got two years to prepare for the next one!!
