Well, with two members of the family in serious back trouble, it looks like hiring the cleaning of the driveway and sidewalk is a must for this season. I have to admit that it's beautiful outside, but I am stuck in the house today as Chuck went back to work. Because he is on "light duty", he is not allowed to have the squad car back, so he took the van. That means I have to do housework, laundry, my Bible study and other things. I am sure I will fill the whole day and run out of time before things to do.
Yesterday seemed to be an exercise in futility as we hired the Bryant boys to help again, this time with stringing outside lights and putting up the tree. We have two big blue spruce pines in the back yard that are strung with the old fashioned big colored bulb lights and only one would light, the other kept blowing fuses. Then they tried to put the lights on the house and the strings just fell off. They did manage to carry the big tree up from the basement, which is 10 feet tall and very heavy. They got a good bit of it up, but right now, it looks like "tree on a stick". Chuck has it to a point that he can finish it.

The girls are now gone and the house is so quiet as this is the first time I have been alone here in over a month. Should give me good time to ponder the season and life in general. I am so blessed....
