Monday, October 19th, Back to the Orchard

Right after all the guest left the shower on Saturday, we headed back to the apple orchard in Hebron with Candice. Even though we had a hard frost last weekend and the leaves on many of the trees were brown and falling, there was still tons of fruit left on many of the trees.
We picked in a different area than when we were with Catie and found these enormous Goldens. Right after Candice and found this one, I found the big Mama:I can hardly get my hand around it!!
Look at that pretty gal in the middle of the orchard!
I took this pic with Chuck's awesome camera. Love how the berries are so focused and the background is really blurred.Of course, we went to see the animals again and the geese were in rare form, honking and begging. What a great day!

It is in Northern Illinois. Hebron. We live in Lake Villa, Illinois and it is about 40 minutes northwest of us.
