Ever since Tuesday, I have had a head cold. When I woke up from my pre-work nap, I had a scratchy throat, which progressed to full body aches, and general ickiness. Hence, I called off sick to work on Thursday and upon leaving the funeral meal yesterday, I called the charge nurse on the off chance that the census was down and I could be cancelled. She said it was crazy and I had to work. So, I took a fitful nap on the way home and got ready for work when we got home. She then called and had done some creative staffing, so I was able to stay home. I was so grateful for another night's rest after the past week of craziness! It made tonight at work much more bearable.
