Yesterday after church, we took Candice to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch and then Chuck and I went to Best Buy and I bought a new camera. Nothing fancy, but since starting this blog, I really missed the ability to take a picture of what I was describing. We got a Canon Power Shot and I am learning about it. We also went to
REI for a sale for Chuck. Normally, that place puts me to sleep, but I ended up buying an awesome pair of pants, a really cute shirt and a new water bottle and Chuck walked out with nothing. I even used his member discount and a gift card.

Isn't it pretty? I am so fussy about water bottles. I don't want one that you have to unscrew because when I am in the car, I spill it all over myself. Let me just say that I will not be shaking it to "evenly distribute the molecules" as Chuck does all the time....extremely annoying...(inside family story)
Candice and I have been using those apples, but have barely made a dent in what we brought home. For breakfast yesterday, I made a wonderful Apple Puff Pancake, but didn't have my camera to share the "fresh out of the oven" look for you...here are the left-overs.

Not nearly as pretty on day two, but just as tasty.
I also made 4 mini-loaves of apple bread:

Yes, only two loaves in the picture because there are only two left this morning!!! It's that good....
Then, for the crowning achievement, Candice made a Dutch Apple Pie:
That's her friend, Megan in the background.
She was using our new knives, which I was nervous about, because I have cut myself so much with them!!!

Bake sale gorgeous, don't you think??
Chuck went upstairs to watch the baseball game and us gals had a pedicure party while watching "The
Incredibles". He made a hilarious reference to leaving us females alone to watch "Beaches". We were fairly doubled over with laughter. It is probably the sappiest chick flick that he could think of at the time.

I thought a little liquid soap in the water would be good to soften skin, but the bubbles got sort of out of control.

The end result.....Left to right, Candice, me and Megan.
Candice leaves tomorrow and I work tonight and tomorrow night and will surely miss her. Can't wait until the four of us are together for Thanksgiving.
