A year or so ago, Chuck and I garbage picked this hutch from my neighbor, Alex. It has been sitting in the garage since then. We are in dire need to clean the garage, but felt like we needed to fix up the hutch and put it in the kitchen before that.
Here's what it looked like before we started, filthy and very ugly:

Since the door on the right is off and broken, I decided to leave the upper doors off.
Tonight we primed it to prepare for painting:


It will replace this very small Baker's rack which as you can see is very overstuffed with Cookbooks, recipes, phone books and my spice rack. I will use this in my sewing space in the basement for all of the things that gather there.
