Update on finished projects

I have kept a quilt journal since I started this journey. However, I have been negligent in keeping up with it since April. So today, I uploaded a few pics to my flash drive and made pictures over at Wal-Mart. I added 8 entries!! I only have room for 6 more projects in this journal. I hope that my girls will find this useful someday.
Some recent projects:
From left to right; my fall purse, a stitching bag, and my summer purse.
One of the projects from the Jo Morton club that I attend. A sweet little doll quilt or wall hanging.
I have said that my sister is the one that got me in to quilting, but the real inspiration was my Grandmother. She did all sorts of crafts and hand work. She was a master quilter in her own right, but only made one quilt with new fabrics. My mom never quilted because she said that growing up, they lived in a very small house, but every week her mom and her mom's best friend would set up the quilt frame which took up almost the entire room. From that time on, my mom vowed that she would never ever quilt. While I was at the farm, I admired the quilts that my mom inherited.

This was my inspiration for making my Grandmother's flower garden.
Another of the beauties I would like to try.
I've made a butterfly quilt, but this one is just lovely. A story about why I would like to make a butterfly quilt to follow soon.
Grandma made this for my mom and dad for their wedding present. With all the great new tools and template on the market today, I would love this challenge.
And lastly, the grand champion:
This Cathedral Window was the only quilt that she made with all new fabrics. She entered it in the county fair and subsequently at the state fair and won best of show. I found a pattern for it this summer and plan on tackling it soon. It will be my next completely made by hand quilt.
I hope you enjoyed some of this reminiscing.
