I finished the lap quilt for the veterans. I couldn't stand the 3 stars in a row, so I took it apart and rearranged them. I machine quilted it with red, white and blue thread and am pretty pleased with the results.

Chuck had a little handy man work to do and he found this hanging on the outside of the house:

We are very sad in this family about the Cubs loss. I just can't believe it. This was supposed to be the year!!! 100 years we have waited. My dad has waited 83....our steps are a little slower, heads hung down. Preparing to be maligned by White Sox fans. There's always next year....
Beryl and I managed to spend some time together yesterday and we able to get to B&J's Sewing center before they closed. Barb is absolutely the sweetest and she has such a wonderful selection of fabric and ideas. If you live near there....and you are a quilter, you really should visit. She just put in all new shelves and it is so bright and nice. I attended a lecture on making scrappy quilts when I was in Madison and the one tip the speaker gave was to collect neutral fabrics. Well, Barb has such a lovely collection of neutrals and she has them grouped together.
Beryl and I both brought our machines but there was no time to sew.

Ta ta for now...have a good week.
