Last summer, when Beryl and I were at the farm taking care of Mom, Dan called one night and said that he felt like
Manistee was going to blow away. When the storm passed, they determined that they had experienced a Micro-burst and they were without power for several days. The most visible reminder of the storm still remains:

This road that overlooks Lake Michigan simply washed away into the Lake.

Because this whole area is sand it will all eventually wash away unless they make a decision to gird the whole area up. There are also houses and a golf course overlooking this area.
