After the show last night, Chuck and I made the two hour drive to Manistee to stay with my sister and brother-in-law for the weekend. Poor Chuck, he did the driving, whilst I did the dozing, but we made it there safely and slept like rocks!!!
We hadn't been there for four years, and we had a lovely stay in their guest room. The weather was cool and lovely and Chuck did a long bike ride, while I taught the big bag class for some ladies from Beryl's church.

This black fabric was so pretty and Jennifer used purple for the binding...very striking!!

Kelly made this for beach use and the more I tried to talk her into reversing the pocket for the complimentary side to show, the more she refused!!!

Linda had the hardest time with my bias binding technique, but once she got it, she couldn't be stopped. I think she stayed up all night to finish both of the little bags she had started.

Mary quilted her own fabric and totally finished her bag in the time we had. She had a very fancy machine and has recently purchased an embroidery machine.

I cut Beryl's bag out for her last summer, so I was happy to see her finishing a project. She tends to start a bunch of things and doesn't finish them. Dan is also happy to see completed items.

Betty also nearly finished her bag during the time we had.

And here we are with our bags as far as we got them in the 8 hours we spent together. I had so much fun, but man, was I pooped!!!
By the time we packed up and cleaned the room, Beryl and I were in no mood to make a meal, so we went out for Chinese food and then went back to the house and watched Gran Torino starring Clint Eastwood. A very good flick. They have a huge collection of "Chick Flicks", because Dan loves them, but this was very testosterone driven and Chuck and I both really liked it.
