Candice came home this weekend because she needed some
lovin' from the parents. She still loves us....and for this I am most grateful. She got away from campus just before they shut down her entire campus because of a huge outbreak of the
Novovirus. This weekend is Parent's weekend which they cancelled and they also cancelled all classes on Monday. So, we have her for a whole three days.
Because she has been very stressed recently with a number of things, I decided to give her the quilt I have been holding for her until her show in two weeks:

I started this way back in February for the last quilt project day that we had, but lost interest in it because it sort of bored me. It is a slash and shuffle quilt and it is "quilted as you go", which
utilized the fancy
stitches I have on my machine. That was very boring. I had the blocks made for months, but the stitching was boring. Because I am on a path to finish all projects that I have started, I was determined to finish it. I have had it wrapped and hidden for about a month now.

She actually knew I was making it, because after I started with the black and white theme, I asked her if she wanted a pink accent or a blue accent because I made it for her bedroom here at home.

She painted and decorated her room before she left for freshman year of college. It was all her choice and I really love how it turned out. She has quite an eye for this stuff. Sometime, I will show Catie's room and what she did to her room before she went to college.
Today is project day. The anticipation is killing me!!!
