When it rains....

Well, we are still dealing with Chuck and some pretty intense pain. He is drugged, but has no pain relief. Last night, he had an MRI and they gave me the films, but as of 4 pm today, we don't have an official reading. Our untrained nurse eyes looked at it last night on the x-ray box at work and we think that he probably has a herniated disc. You can see the compression on his spine and the stuff that is swished out of the inter-vertebral space in the lumbar region at L3-4 or so. Tonight as I was driving to work and talking to my dad on the phone, I discovered that I didn't have any headlights. I was about 2 miles down the road and pulled over in a parking lot and found I didn't even have hi-beams. So I turned around, went to PEP boys and they said it wasn't a fuse, but probably the entire switch. I came home, called back to work and they said they can survive without me for tonight, which is hard on our finances, but at this time of night, there isn't any way to get there. So, I am in the midst of doing laundry and getting the house in order because I am fully energized as I slept all day.
Tomorrow poses new challenges as I take Chuck back to the chiropractor. Hoping to have a read on that MRI so we know what the next step will be.
